Lunar Eclipse Reading | 28th August 2026

Your Mud Has Purpose

The Solar Eclipse reading on 12th August was about returning to yourself, seeing what had been hidden and noticing where you may have shaped yourself around other people.

This Lunar Eclipse feels like the emotional next step. Less about the first reveal and more about sitting with what has already been shown.

For this reading, I asked:

What did the Solar Eclipse begin showing us?

The Tower

What is the Lunar Eclipse asking us to sit with emotionally?

Queen of Stars reversed and Page of Wands

What shadow is ready to be acknowledged now?

The Lovers

What are we being asked to release?

Four of Stars

Where do we need to show ourselves more compassion?

Six of Wands

What part of us is ready to be reclaimed?

Three of Stars

A message from spirit?

Lotus - your mud has purpose

The Tower

The Tower feels like what the Solar Eclipse started to uncover.

I’m sensing that something may have begun to feel impossible to ignore. Something that once felt safe, familiar, or necessary may have started to feel restrictive instead.

This doesn’t have to mean everything collapsed around you. It feels more like a shift in awareness. Seeing the cracks in something you’ve been trying to hold together, or realising that an old version of yourself doesn’t fit the same way anymore.

There’s a lot here around survival. The version of you that learnt how to cope, keep the peace, be needed, stay acceptable, or not ask for too much.

But The Tower shows where that structure is no longer strong enough to hold who you are becoming.

Queen of Stars Reversed and Page of Wands

The Queen of Stars reversed feels drained.

I’m picking up on someone who has been giving too much of themselves to stability, responsibility, or keeping everything moving. There’s a tiredness here that feels deeper than just needing rest. It feels like being disconnected from your own needs because you’ve been so focused on holding everything else together.

The Page of Wands  however changes the feeling of this.

Theres still a spark here. Something curious, creative, restless, or quietly ready to get started again. It doesn’t feel loud yet, but it’s there.

Together, these cards feel like burnout meeting the first signs of wanting more for yourself again. The message I’m getting is that you don’t have to be fully healed, fully rested, or fully ready before you start listening to that part of you. Sometimes the spark comes back before the energy does.

The Lovers

The Lovers feels like a shadow around choice, attachment and approval.

I don’t think this is about romantic love. It feels more connected to the places where you choose connection over truth, or where you edit yourself because being accepted feels safer than being fully honest.

There’s something here about wanting to be chosen, but forgetting to choose yourself.

This card feels like it’s asking where you’ve softened your truth to keep a bond, stay liked, avoid rejection, or keep someone close.

It’s not coming through with judgement. More like a moment of honesty. Seeing where love, friendship, family, or belonging may have asked you to abandon parts of yourself and asking whether that is still a price you’re willing to pay.

Four of Stars

With the Four of Stars I’m sensing protection, but also restriction. Like you're holding onto something because the unknown feels uncomfortable. Keeping things controlled because loosening your grip feels too vulnerable.

This could be around your energy, your emotions, your identity, your relationships, or even the version of yourself you’re used to being.

The message here isn’t to force yourself to let go before you’re ready. It more like noticing where fear is making the decision for you. Because sometimes we call something safety when really it has started to become a cage.

Six of Wands

The Six of Wands feels connected to visibility and recognition.

I’m picking up on someone who has done more healing, growing, trying, surviving, or rebuilding than they give themselves credit for.

There may be discomfort around wanting to be seen. Maybe part of you wants acknowledgement, but another part feels guilty for needing it. But this card is you're  reminder that wanting your efforts to be recognised doesn’t make you needy. It makes you human.

There’s compassion needed here because I feel like you’ve been minimising your own progress. Maybe because it didn’t look dramatic enough. Maybe because other people didn’t notice. Or maybe because you’re still focused on what isn’t healed yet.

But progress still counts, even when it’s quiet, small and only you know about it.

Three of Stars

This card brings in your work, your contribution, and what you bring into the world when you’re not giving from depletion.

I’m sensing this around creativity, spiritual work, business, community, or the way you share your energy with others. There’s a big difference between being useful and being valued, and this card is asking you to recognise that.

You don’t have to drain yourself to prove what you offer matters. You don’t have to be the easiest version of yourself to be included. And you don’t have to keep shrinking the parts of you that are ready to be shared.

The Three of Stars feels like building again, but from a more honest place.

Lotus

The closing oracle card was Lotus - Your mud has purpose.

And this one card pretty much sums up the whole message.

The mud is the part of the journey that may have felt messy, uncomfortable, unfair, draining, or difficult to explain. The parts you might judge yourself for. The parts that didn’t look healed or put together. Or maybe the parts you wish had been easier.

But the Lotus doesn’t grow from clean water. It rises through the mud.

Its certainly not saying you need to be grateful for everything that hurt you. It feels more like spirit is saying that the difficult parts of your story haven’t made you less worthy of blooming.

They have shaped something in you.. Wisdom, depth. compassion, strength, discernment. A clearer sense of what you will no longer abandon yourself for. Your mud has purpose because it shows what you have grown through, not what you are stuck in.

The Message Coming Through

This Lunar Eclipse isnt a huge dramatic ending. Instead its more like emotional integration.

The Solar Eclipse opened something. It showed where the cracks were. This Lunar Eclipse asks you to sit with what came up and be honest about what it means for you now.

There’s a strong message here around not forcing the release. So don’t feel like you need to rip your life apart to prove you’ve understood the lesson. But you are being asked to stop ignoring what your body, emotions, and intuition have already started showing you.

Where you’re tired, holding on to things that no longer align withyou. Where you’re gripping. Where you’re choosing acceptance over truth. Where you’re ready to recognise your own progress. Where something in you is ready to rise differently, not perfectly, just honestly.

Shadow Journal Prompts

What did the Solar Eclipse begin showing me?

Where am I tired from holding something together?

Where have I chosen being accepted over being honest with myself?

What part of my growth am I not giving myself credit for?

What is my mud teaching me?

Closing Message

Eclipse seasons can be hard.

They have a way of pulling things out of the shadow, especially the things we’ve avoided, outgrown, or quietly known for a while but haven’t wanted to fully face.

So if this season has felt emotional, uncomfortable, intense, or strangely clarifying, maybe that’s part of what has been moving through. Not everything needs to make sense straight away. F, and remember that your mud has purpose.

Held with love and intention,

Chrystal
